New Jersey Drug & Alcohol Rehab Programs

The best treatments for drug or alcohol addiction provide individualized care that addresses each aspect of recovery. Typically, treatment occurs in stages, starting with medically supervised withdrawal in a detox program. After completing detox and residential care, clients can transition into Footprints to Recovery’s outpatient treatment for continued support during early recovery.

Outpatient Rehab in Colorado

At Footprints to Recovery, our outpatient programs focus on relapse prevention and helping clients maintain recovery in real-life situations. Our outpatient levels of care begin with partial care, which is designed to provide a smooth transition from inpatient treatment. Following partial care, clients continue their time in treatment during our intensive outpatient program. Following IOP, clients enter our traditional outpatient program which provides the least restrictive structure. In doing so, our outpatient services assist clients in balancing responsibilities outside of treatment during early recovery.

  • During partial care, clients attend treatment for 6 hours per day, six days per week.
  • In IOP, clients attend treatment five days per week for 3-4 hours each day.
  • Throughout OP, clients typically attend treatment 1-2 times per week for 1.5 hours.

By providing multiple levels of outpatient care, Footprint Recovery is able to offer a comprehensive continuum of treatment that helps individuals build a strong foundation for long-term recovery. With the support of our experienced and caring staff, we will work together to customize a treatment plan that is tailored to meet individual needs. Throughout our outpatient rehab programs, we also provide morning and evening sessions to accommodate our client\’s schedules after obtaining employment.

Our goal is to help each person develop the skills necessary to manage their addiction and create a life free from substance abuse.  Additionally, we want to ensure that our clients have the best chance of success and give them the resources they need to live a healthy, fulfilling life in recovery.

MAT involves working with a team of professionals. This includes a physician, psychiatrists, psychologists, and addiction counselors. The goal is to provide the person struggling with substance abuse with an individualized plan that offers support and treatment tailored to their needs. This often includes medication to reduce cravings as well as counseling to help them work through emotional or behavioral issues related to their addiction. MAT can be an effective way to help someone overcome their addiction and lead a healthier, substance-free life. With continued support from the treatment team and dedication, recovery is possible.

Treating Co-Occurring Disorders of Addiction

Mental health problems like anxiety or depression can occur alongside an addiction to drugs or alcohol. When this happens, the individual is considered to have co-occurring disorders or a dual diagnosis. Anxiety and depression are not the only types of co-occurring disorders, but they are some of the most common. Other co-occurring disorders that are often seen in those suffering from addiction in NJ rehab centers include:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Panic Disorder
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Personality Disorders

A dual diagnosis must be adequately identified and treated for the best chance of remaining sober. Sometimes identifying co-occurring disorders can be challenging and take time. Using addictive substances can mask mental health symptoms or make them worse. The staff at Footprints to Recovery in NJ knows the importance of treating co-occurring disorders. We’ll be here to help you through any old or new symptoms you experience during addiction treatment.

In addition to offering partial care, intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient (OP) programs, our Hamilton Township based treatment center arranges for medical detox and sober living options. Drug and alcohol recovery is not one-size-fits all, so we work with our program participants to determine the right schedule and treatment types.

A Closer Look at the New Jersey Drug Problem

No part of the U.S. has escaped the devastation caused by addiction, including New Jersey. When taking a closer look at NJ addiction rates, around 100,000 people were admitted into an addiction treatment program in 2019. With an estimated NJ state population of over 6.9 million people, this means that roughly 1.44% of the state’s population was treated for an addiction-related concern. Keep in mind that the number of individuals who seek out and receive treatment is only a small fraction of those suffering from diagnosable substance use disorders. This means that the New Jersey drug problem is even larger than treatment rates would indicate.

The most common primary substance an individual seeking treatment reported using in New Jersey in 2019 was heroin (42%), followed by alcohol (31%). Of the 98,628 admissions for substance use disorders into a New Jersey rehab program, 42,341 (42.9%) were admitted into treatment more than once. Both intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient care (OP) were the most common levels of care utilized by those seeking treatment (49%).

Understanding these daunting statistics is important for gaining a better appreciation of the level of care and support needed in New Jersey. At Footprints to Recovery, our New Jersey addiction treatment options help individuals suffering from addiction and their loved ones begin the journey toward recovery. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality care, no matter where they live.

With our free online insurance verification tool, you can quickly and easily gain access to your benefits and coverage.
