Which MAT Medication is right for me?

If you are interested in medication-assisted treatment at Footprints, you will meet with our provider to discuss each applicable medication in depth. We want you to be informed before you make any decisions in recovery.

All medications for MAT at Footprints are FDA-approved medications for either opioid/opiate use disorder and/or alcohol use disorder.

Who qualifies for Medication-Assisted Treatment?

MAT at Footprints involves only FDA-approved medications for the treatment of substance use disorders. Currently, the FDA has only approved medications for the treatment of opioid or opiate use disorders, and alcohol use disorder.

Those who qualify for MAT at Footprints have a moderate to severe opioid/opiate use disorder or alcohol use disorder. How do you know the severity of your substance use disorder? Our clinicians will evaluate and assess the severity of your substance use disorder.

If you or a loved one are ready to recover, we are here to help. Give us a call for a complimentary treatment assessment.

There is no obligation to attend treatment with us if you call, we are just happy to help you in your journey towards better health.

What MAT Medication should I use for recovery?

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is offered in every program at Footprints, which means that many clients will opt for MAT at varying points of the recovery process. Most clients who are physically dependent on substances will be given medications used for MAT during our medical detox program. We also administer other narcotic medications, during our detox program, to clients who are addicted to benzodiazepines and alcohol.

If you decide to opt in for medication-assisted treatment (MAT), your initial consultation with our provider will include developing your individual treatment plan. This plan will be a guideline for how long you would like to remain on the medications offered in MAT. You can choose to stay in the maintenance program for the duration of the treatment, just during inpatient programs, or in outpatient treatment. You may initially not opt into MAT but would like to enroll later in the recovery process. This is also okay.

We do not restrict your choice to engage in medication-assisted treatment unless you are abusing your medication in any way. During medication-assisted treatment (MAT) at Footprints, you will meet regularly with our provider to discuss your progress, ask questions, or address any concerns. You will also undergo regular drug and alcohol testing in order to remain in MAT.

Opioid/Opiate Use Disorder

Alcohol Use Disorder

If you are graduating our program(s) and would like to continue MAT, we will set you up with an external MAT provider.  Additionally, we offer the option to see our provider on an outpatient, in-person, or virtual basis, for continuity of care.

Our Programs

Medical Detox

A medically-assisted process that begins your recovery. This step is necessary for anyone who has a physical dependency on alcohol or other substances. We provide medication to offset any symptoms of withdrawal, for a safe and comfortable step into recovery. Our chef will prepare nutrient-rich meals for you while you relax, and you will have 24hr. access to our nursing staff and behavioral health technicians.

Inpatient Residential

Our most clinically intensive program, inpatient residential is focused on delving deep into the root motivators behind your addiction. Chances are, substances were once a solution to unresolved trauma, feelings of discomfort, and/or used as a form of self-medication. Together, we will work through whatever is at the root for you. During this stage of recovery, you will still have 24hr. medical monitoring.

Partial Care

Our partial care program is a step between inpatient and outpatient treatment. During this level of care, our focus is on your holistic healing— mental wellness, physical health, and spiritual connectedness. You will attend therapy five times per week, from 9am to 3pm, with weekly individual sessions to work through personal topics. Family therapy is a huge building block in partial care as well.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient at Footprints is a flexible, non-restrictive program that allows for clients to learn how to be independent and what life in sobriety looks like for them. Our intensive outpatient program offers morning and evening therapy sessions, and can be worked into even the busiest of schedules. Family therapy continues in IOP, as it does in all of our programs.

Outpatient

During our outpatient program, clients will learn how to balance life and recovery, while still working on themselves. Outpatient is the ideal program for those who work full-time or are enrolled in any form of higher education. If you need a job or would like to enroll or re-enroll in school, your case manager will help you do so. Clients in OP are active members of whichever program of recovery they have chosen.

Client Breakdown

Who attends our treatment programs is a frequently asked question. Our clientele naturally ebbs and flows, but what we can tell you is that each client wants to be in treatment with us. We do not accept involuntary admits, the person attending treatment want to be here because he or she wants to recover.
