At footprints to recovery, we offer a full continuum of care, including:
Our medical detox centers provide the highest quality of care— evolved over a decade of experience as a provider.
Same-Day Admissions Available.
If you or a loved one is ready to enter a medical detox center now, we do have availability. Give us a call to secure your spot— we only accept a finite number of clients, as to maintain a low client-to-staff ratio.
We accept most private health insurance policies through your employment, your parent’s employment, the VA, or the marketplace. For those who are uninsured, we offer financing options to privately pay for treatment. As a private treatment facility, we do not accept medicaid state insurance plans.
What to expect —
Our medical detoxification program at Footprints to Recovery provides 24-hour medical monitoring, in-house doctor appointments, and psychotherapy to begin the recovery process. You will meet with a doctor to discuss your drug use history, pre-existing diagnoses, medical history, current symptoms, and family medical history in order for our medical team to develop a customized medical protocol to meet your needs. We will prescribe and administer medications that manage any symptoms of withdrawal to provide comfort and safety during detoxification.
If you are needing a detox from benzodiazepines, one of the two most dangerous substances to detox from, our drug detox process is extremely controlled and structured by our medical team. As a provider, we are proactive in anticipating symptoms to put your safety and comfort first.
At our detox center in Colorado, we offer a unique method of detoxification called AcuDetox. AcuDetox is focused on flushing out toxins in the body through targeted acupuncture.
During all programs, our clinical team will craft a detailed treatment plan for you, which acts as a guideline for the therapies you will use and topics you will work through during your time with us. You will get a case manager and primary therapist, who comprise your own personal clinical team.
You will also be assessed and evaluated by a psychiatrist for any co-occurring disorders (i.e. depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, etc.) which will factor into your treatment plan. We perform more than one assessment when evaluating how to structure your treatment plan.
We are a dual diagnosis treatment provider, so any co-occurring disorders will be treated simultaneously with your alcohol use disorder. We provide medication discovery and medication management throughout all programs. We also have mental health counselors on staff, who you can meet with daily.
To help you uncover the drivers behind your alcohol abuse, you will work with your primary therapist and therapists with specializations (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), LGBTQ+ Allies, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and veteran therapies).
Make Today the last day you wake up Needing a Substance
Let our expert medical and clinical team help you.
At the heart of our rehabilitation programs is clinical excellence. We provide a range of therapies, clinical direction, and daily detailed clinical meetings to establish each client's progress and current struggles.
Mental health is a huge component of treatment at Footprints. Not only are alcohol and substance use disorders categorized as a mental health disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders, but of the 20.3 million adults with substance use disorders, almost 38% also have a mental health disorder.
Family therapy is a building block of our programming here at Footprints. We facilitate in-person and virtual family therapy sessions for spouses or significant others, parents, children, and siblings. We strongly encourage participation in family therapy for those who are able and healthy enough to have involvement in the treatment process.
Introducing the group therapy model early in treatment helps us to lay the groundwork for our clients to anticipate support from healthy, reciprocal relationships. We grow this notion through each conversation with a clinician and further cement it in programs of recovery. Building a network of support provides accountability, connection, socialization, motivation, advice, relatability, interpersonal effectiveness, and so much more.
We help our clients establish a strong program of recovery. Whether clients choose a traditional 12 step program (i.e. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, etc.) or an alternative program. We offer Refuge recovery and Recovery Dharma, which are programs based on Buddhist principles, as well as SMART recovery, Celebrate Recovery (a Christian-based program), and many more.
Our goal before you complete our program(s) is to set you up for success in sobriety. We help you build life skills with nutrition and finance workshops, vocational services to help you get a job or go back to a job, assistance with enrolling or re-enrolling in college or trade schools, and we teach you how to be your own health advocate.
Throughout our drug & alcohol treatment programs at Footprints to Recovery, we guide you in re-building a life reliant on meaningful experiences & relationships, healthy coping mechanisms, and enriching your life in ways that bring you closer to your goals.
With doctors of addiction medicine and a 24 hour nursing staff, your medical needs and concerns will always be attended to. Our medical detox program in Colorado is quite small, only allowing up to six patients at a time, to ensure the maximum amount of care and attention is given to each person. Our private chef will prepare three meals per day for you, aimed to replenish the nutrients and minerals the body will need during the detoxification process. Our kitchen is also fully stocked with a variety of snacks, beverages, and other prepared meals. You will attend therapy sessions throughout the day, as long as you are medically-cleared to do so, and begin working through the mental component of addiction.
Inpatient residential at Footprints to Recovery is heavily focused on recovering the mind from the thoughts, behaviors, and actions that once perpetuated your alcohol consumption. We rely on our experienced clinical team to collaborate with you in identifying what drives your alcohol abuse— many people may abuse alcohol, but not everyone will do it for the same reasons.
Partial hospitalization, also known as a partial care program, just means that you will have some medical monitoring and treatment from physicians and nursing staff, as opposed to the 24hr medical care during both detoxification and inpatient. In partial hospitalization, our focus is on your mental and emotional recovery, therefore, this program provides intensive clinical care at its foundation. You can choose to live in a sober living environment during this program, or attend programming whilst living at home.
During this level of care, you will still have medical professionals available to you, in addition to scheduled medical appointments.
Our intensive outpatient program provides structure through ongoing therapy, while also being flexible and non-restrictive. IOP helps those in early recovery thrive within our unique community. You can choose to live in a sober living environment during this program, or attend programming whilst living at home.
During this level of care, you are preparing for complete independence and autonomy in the management of your health. We encourage you to set medical appointments when needed and advocate for your health needs.
Our outpatient program provides a safe space and flexible schedules to prioritize working on yourself. You can choose to live in a sober living environment during this program, or attend outpatient whilst living at home.
During this level of care, you will choose therapy sessions to attend 1-3 times each week. We have morning and night outpatient therapy sessions to easily accommodate your busy work or school schedule.
Your health insurance could cover 100% of the cost of treatment.
Don't see your plan? Don't worry, we work with many other providers not listed. Check your coverage by clicking the button below and a specialist we will contact you to let you know if it will cover treatment.

It is our passion to help you realize your power. It’s hard to be stuck emotionally, physically, and spiritually— not wanting to pick up another drink or meet your dealer, and not believing you can get through the day without one. Addiction is progressive, so to say you will be in this same place 1, 5, 10, 15 years from now isn’t exactly accurate, things will only get worse from here. Asking for help might not be what you want right now, but we do know it’s what you need.
At some point along the way, you wanted to feel better and you chose the fastest way to get there. Over time, it became your only way to get that relief. The issue is that the shortcut to feeling better is the shortest-lasting and the most destructive. Today can be the last day you wake up needing to drink or get drugs to help you feel okay.
We see your potential, what we do is help you reach it.
Master’s and doctorate-level clinicians lead our comprehensive treatment programs. At our Colorado locations, we are lucky to have impeccably educated and experienced team members with a range of specializations.
Our client-to-staff ratio
We believe large group therapy sessions deter clients from properly reaping the benefits of the group therapy model.
Most specialized therapy groups accommodate 3-5 clients per clinician.
Our largest group size, seen in skills-based groups (i.e. life skills, vocational skills) do not exceed 15 clients in one group.
Certified Provider
2 members of our clinical team specialize in veteran and first responder therapies. At Footprints to Recovery, we have a Valor program— this program is for U.S. military veterans and first responders and offers a curriculum specific to their experiences.
Specializations
1 member of our clinical team holds one of more of the following certifications: Certified Trauma Practitioner, Trauma Informed Care (TIC), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Certified
3 members of our clinical team are certified in EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This therapeutic practice is held in high regard for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD, C-PTSD) and trauma.
I went to Footprints back in may of 2019. I can’t express how important it was to my life and my recovery. I’m a chronic relapser I’ve been to treatment off an on since I was 15. And ever since ai went through there program and actually took the recommendations they gave me I’m still running strong!! I celebrated 3 years clean and sober on April 14th!!! I love these guys!!!
This rehab is amazing. They flew me from Oklahoma to New Jersey, and back upon completion. Every single one of the staff members are very professional and you can tell that they genuinely care, they're not just there to "collect a check." The therapists and therapy sessions are exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this rehab center.
...the living areas are super nice and cozy, and the furniture and everything is really nice. It is clean and I really love the living room furniture, and the beds are comfortable and cute and cozy rooms.
The staff are really nice and sweet and they really care- if you have a problem or an issue, you can always go to them and they will do the best they can to find a solution and make sure you’re doing okay. I enjoy the program as well, I’ve been to A LOT of rehabs… and honestly they do have a really strong program, and it’s engaging and interesting.
There are just good vibes, and good energy....There are people coming from all over the country to be here and be a part of this program, and that’s telling.
I am here dealing with a court case, and they have also been really helpful in dealing with all of that stuff and helping me to put that behind me and move on to bigger and better things!
FTR IS Phenomenal! Only intended to complete Residential, and am currently in IOP - Due to the Amazing staff at this facility.
Truly caring and competent people who understand where you've been, and dedicated to seeing You achieve and maintain Sobriety!!!
We understand you may have many questions about our rehab programs. Please take a look through our most frequently asked questions, and feel free to give us a call with any other questions you may have.
During our medical detox program, you will be staying at our residential detox center. You will also remain in our residential center if you will be continuing on into our residential inpatient program.
After completing inpatient treatment, it is your choice to live either in sober living or attend programming from home. You are not required to choose a sober living environment if your home is a supportive, safe, and healthy environment for your recovery.
Yes, we do support couples who both need to work on themselves. We will allow couples to enroll in our outpatient programs, but with that, you will also need to participate in couples therapy together, as well as engage in therapies separately.
We will meet together as a team to devise the best plan for each of you separately, and for you as a couple.
We have an in-house private chef prepare three meals/day for you during our inpatient programs. He is very talented and can customize your meals based on any dietary restrictions and preferences. All meals are nutrient-rich to replenish the body during this time of recovery and relaxation.
In addition to meals, our kitchen is always open and fully stocked with all of the beverages, snacks, and small meals you could ever want.
Yes, we do not restrict nicotine at our facilities. We know that treating addiction is challenging enough, we don’t wish to take away this comfort from our clients. We do ask that all smoking takes place in designated outdoor patios.
No strings attached, no obligations, just information and a roadmap to guide you through this. Our team will coordinate your care, all you need to do is take the first step.
